Better to have conservatives accept that and get ahead of the game than to just react with obstructionism.

Wise words...the GOP won't do that, unfortunately. They are too busy telling seniors in Florida that national health care means euthanasia.

I have to disagree with this. What is the point of being Socialist Lite and signing on to something they (Republicans) have no voice in and can not even moderate. Let the Democrats own socialized health care just like they own cap and trade.

The Democrats don't need Republican votes and they don't want any Republican input. All they want is cover. They want the Republicans to share the blame if it turns into a disaster.
