The roads are crawling with SUVs, built in the eighties and nineties with no regard for gasoline mileage. Most of them sport heavy, completely unnecessary 4WD that further drags down their efficiency. The sport heavy, useless frames designed to go off-road, although the vast majority never do.

There is plenty of evidence, up to and including the fact that the single most common trade in for Ford were SUVs, and the most commonly purchased car was a Focus. Which is exactly the sort of thing the program was designed to encourage.

At the very most one can make a SWAG about it. And regardless, the jobs are so expensive as to make the program a ridiculous piece of crap even if it were true.

Obama and this socialist congress are treating billions like the millions of five years ago. It is pathetic and is leaving our children with debts they cannot possibly repay.
