There were lots of interesting tidbits in there. I had no clue about the relationship between gout and high blood pressure, for example. And the point mentioned in the TYP comments you posted about fiber mitigating fructose is an important one.

i watched the entire video as well, and was really surprised to see how inefficient the liver is at metabolizing fructose...i thought i had done a good job of 'de-fructing- my diet years ago, but i checked my pantry and found some things (like prepared marinara sauce and of course ketchup!) that contain it

and thinking about it....all of the people i know who have weight problem (one quite serious) are heavy consumers of sodas and juices! he said it was like drinking 'liquid fat'

what a visual....<shudders>

his comments on fiber intake were excellent as well...i'm always looking for ways to add fiber naturally to my diet, i eat plenty of raw veggies and ground flax, but i still don't think i get enough
