(That is a normal and expected event for any new President --- and most especially for any facing enormous economic difficulties and a fractious Congress and foreign troubles.) You are attempting to imply that they is some sort of causality between the President's current polls that Birthers' silly fraud attempts and misstatements of both law and facts --- yet quite a number of established figures on the political right wing seem to be of the opinion that the political effects flow in EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, (I mentioned just a few... the WSJ, Ann Coulter... O'Reilly... Karl Rove... Limbaugh, etc.), and they seem to be suggesting that partisan Democrats are even trying to FEED the Birthers' auto-da-fe by giving them as much airtime and wordplay as they can get away with... knowing how such silly, sad illogical and challenged fruitcakes wind up tarring respectable conservatives. A kind of 'guilt by association'.
