You do know that the best water systems are contracted out, didn't you? You are really an idiot. Government contracts out what can be better done by the private sector. The same goes for every whine that follows in your post. I would say government control of most things is pretty fukked up. Name the private company in this (or any country that can: Do food inspection Do police Do fire Department Do education Build and maintain roads Regulate and inspect buildings and codes Build and maintain airports Control air traffic Fight wars Negotiate treaties Deliver water ... ... ... ... ... ... ALL AT THE SAME TIME. There are probably 1000 functions to add to that list. The key learning you need is that all those things allow you to go about your daily life... trying to make a living without thinking about them. And they are done extremely well. We have great public servants that are always looking to save a dime. They are in general underpaid and trying to make YOUR community a better place to live. That's on every level; community, state and federal. But you hate the US... so what do I care.
