Al, funny how tax-n-spend advocates like you never donate more to the IRS than you're required to, and almost always take advantage of every tax deduction that you feel is robbing government of badly-needed funds.

Ten, you could not be more right about this.

When I was in tax practice I had some liberals who came in and would sit and bash Reagan for cutting taxes for a substantial portion of their tax interview. Then, they would spend the rest of it trying to figure out how to cheat on their taxes. Trying to get me to take deductions that were clearly illegal was part of the routine.

Conservatives? No way. No conservative I ever worked for that I know of pushed this. Even when I would SUGGEST an aggressive tactic, they would often back me off of it -- saying, "if it is aggressive I don't want to do it. I want to pay what they say I owe".

My liberal CPA partner was a huge problem, because he could not distinguish pushing the limits within reason versus crossing the line. I constantly was having to say, "Shit, you can't do THAT. They'll put your ass in jail".

On a fundamental level, liberals just lack the characteristic of honesty in many cases.

The rules never apply to liberals ...

Ge, I don't know...all we have right now is a confession that YOU are the one who cheated Caesar...

Taking a tax deduction is not the same thing as cheating on your taxes.
