Gaston, that may be your experience but it isn't mine. I had DATEK up 100% of the time over the past 3 trading days and yesterday I made 18 trades all to my satisfaction and without any unreasonable delays. I am sure that routing and Internet bottlenecks affect differing areas at different times. Remember the DNS problems of a couple of months back that plagued DATEK access. I am quite aware, as I have seen it done, of how endless loops and addressing anomalies can cause certain parts of the internet to fail, either by accident or mischief. They are hard to prove but I have seen an experienced programmer create such a loop right in front of me and cause a block of addresses to suddenly become unavailable by putting the internet addresses into and endless loop. I am not saying that this is the cause of your problem, I am just saying that this is easily done and it will cause this sort of problem.

Gaston Did I have problems getting trades through yesterday on Datek? Sure! But I traded all day long. I cannot remember any time Datek was down, unlike other brokers. Things got slow and tough, but I don't think you could have gotten through to a live broker to have made trades as fast. My wife's uncle came down last night to see my setup since he could not make trades with his live broker. You were in the same boat as all other small traders, but trades were made trades all day with Datek. Sailor
