Friend, Let us not assume that fervent patriotism and love of one's country conflict with accepting responsibility for its errors. Vacuous posturing had become increasingly transparent. Don't lose sight of the difference between patriotism and nationalism. The US flag has become a political symbol. (I'll stop now. But if you are up for a 'chat' I've got a lot to say.
