>> Obama averted a depression.

I can understand, given your partisanship, why you would believe this.

But the simple truth, if one looks at all the facts and circumstances, is that the actions of GWB in getting the TARP I program through is what averted the economic collapse.

If there was to have been a depression, it would have been caused by the collapse which GWB avoided.

If Obama in fact avoided a "depression", it leaves open a couple questions you simply cannot answer --

a) Your claim is, in effect, that the expenditure of some $60 Billion by the government has turned around an economy of $15 Trillion has done this. That is 4/10s of 1%. A rather absurd proposition.

b) If your claim is right why would you not favor stopping the "stimulus" now before we spend the other $700 Billion that will create inflation and saddle us with debt and $100M/day in interest into perpetuity?

Ted, > Obama averted a depression. Do you think tamping down inflation will be any harder.

Since Obama can walk on water, I guess inflation would be a piece of cake for him.

Guess I better sell my gold, LOL ...
