Most hard core alcoholics I came across died from cirrhosis, severe pancreatitis, seizures or cardiomyopathy long before they had a chance to develop coronary disease.

I am sure that my former drinking and smoking played a part in my two bouts with cancer and my CAD. It's amazing how your liver can recover from alcohol abuse.

And that could get listed on an ingredient label as sugar-I'm not sure.

Yes, the label on a milk carton, or a yogurt container, for that matter, just says "sugars." Plural. If you want to differentiate them, you have to go to the internet.

I was impressed, too, by the presentation on alcohol. The parallel between booze and fructose was fascinating.
