It's ironic that electric cars could actually help us free ourselves from foreign oil, because we could use our own immense stocks of coal to generate the electricity...but that's not why they want them, of course. They are magical thinkers. To show their good intentions is to solve the problem.

There was a chart in the WSJ this morning showing 4 different fuels for cars...how much it cost to fill them, and with what, and the price...BY FAR, the worse gas mileage, time to fill up (35 hours) and miles the car will go on the fillup is the electric car.... Is Obama like GHWBush who didn't get out much? WHY would he want to spend another 1-2 BILLION dollars exploring the need for electric cars...
