Isn't a health care system supposed to measurably improve the health of a country's citizens? Why does OURS rank 37th?

That's the question.

Car accidents, military deaths, McDonalds and KFC, an absolute inconsideration for the value of human life, and any of 10,000 other non-health care related reasons.

Duh.

None of those things exist in the 36 countires that are above the US on the lifespan pole? Interesting. You are quite the story teller. When the US is in the top five in terms of lifespan, get back to me and we can then talk about how good health care is in this country.
