If you are saying that the AMERICAN CONSUMER is the golden goose that the rest of the world's pharmaceutical companies feed off of, collecting their gold eggs from the American public each and every day, well you are exactly right!

Isn't that the same argument that was made about the financial institutions that were paying out $100 million bonuses?

Oh no, you can't cut their salaries or profits because they are the people that keep our economy running smoothly....

Are you saying that we should just consider the drug companies to be welfare recipients and let them just charge us whatever they want without ANY negotiation whatsoever?

It wouldn't bother me so much if the WHOLE WORLD had to pay whatever they demanded, but apparently we AMERICANS have to pay for ALL their research. I have to pay $5 bucks for a pill while Canadians and other nationalities get the same pill for $1 buck because SOMEBODY has to pay for their research and we Americans are easy marks.
