Competent health care systems, those not solely devoted to profit and just subsidiaries of large mega-conglomerates that also sell our crappy food, directly address this issue. FRANCE has programs to encourage and reward citizens that choose healthy lifestyles. Their doctors are financially rewarded for the number of patients they can get to lose weight and quit smoking, so, they WORK at it.

It's a holistic approach to health care that pays back all that is put into it with healthier outcomes for the French people, and less health care costs for the French taxpayer.
