No...more like the veteran who asked the Congressman touting VA care as an example of what Obamacare would be like if he'd ever availed himself of the VA care...or the elderly gent who asked why this needed to be done so fast as President Pantywaist had taken six months to pick out a dog for his kids, or the elderly woman who asked her Congressman if he and Blinky Pelosi et al. were ready to join the same plan they want to foist on the rest of us....

Its grassroots.....the public is pissed off and not taking it any more...

J.

Like the elderly person who warned Obama to keep the government out of his Medicare...

This totally bolsters the argument that we don't need government involved in this business, and is an argument I've made here numerous times.

Once government gets its hands in health care (or practically anything else) it becomes politically untouchable. The same happened with SS -- when Bush tried to do something that would have eliminated the problems with SS over time, the Democrats attacked him politically. And today, the Republicans will use the same tactic with Medicare.

These programs are destined to fail for this reason. They instantly become third rail issues and then problems can't be addressed, let alone fixed.

So, while everyone is laughing at what appears to be an illogical remark, the reality is that this is precisely why government has no business interfering with health care at all.

"Why would elderly people be concerned?....they all have Medicare. But the repub's have been lying to them to confuse them....for shame.."

The (R) base has become the stupid and those with Alzheimer's. Just like Ronnie Ray Gun, they lie to them. He knew NOTHING about the Arms for Hostages!
