When you punish success and reward mediocrity, you're going to kill class mobility. All people can hope for is winning the lottery ... wait, isn't that another government-run program?

I hope you are having some theoretical, academic conversation with Z because the US is no where near what you are discussing.....and never will be.

Taxation is not punishing success, and providing people with stability and predictability is not rewarding mediocrity.
