Amador Aguiar founded Bradesco got rich lending money. On the wall of his bank HQ it is written only work can produce wealth.

We need rich people. The more the better. We don't need poor people.

I saw the HQ of the bank you can still see the pole I climbed in 1976 on the photo

I talked with the employees which followed me throught the corridors of power (security reasons). And I asked about the bank and the man that occupied the upper floor just below where the pole still stands. I was amazed about what I heard.
he promoted from within. A cashier could reach director level. Unshaved were sent back home.

One day I saw him. I tall slender man. Walking the corridor, hands behind his back. I was dressed a spole-climber and was not part of that area, I can tell you. I stopped. The he stopped. Let a cleaner pass. Then he stopped again. He started chatting with the cleaner!!!

This is him.

I was a bit communist then ( I was only 24 years old, so you have to forgive me)

But I came out with a complete different idea about a Robber Baron after I heard about him and after I saw.

One day I read about him.

He said he sent his sosn to Colorado School of Mines. No specila money and he said n the US they wold learn how to get some idea of another country.

I came out with a complete different idea about him after a full page interview with him.

After I became savage capitalist, I never looked back and only work to produce wealth for the people that employ the capital.

Today, laying here after a hard days work, drinking a very good ice cold Vinho Verde from Portugal, I see I have made the right thing...

Company will fly wife to visit me next week so I can show her a bit of Luanda because I can't go home now.
