You really need to do your homework better. You are just repeating a mind numbing mantra.

DELL and CPQ's P/Es are directly proportional to their respective earning per share (EPS) growth rates. From this you could expect their P/E to go up if their EPS growth rates increases. So it is not as irrational as some manic/depressive traders would have you believe.

CPQ and DELL's P/Es are in almost perfect balence with each other.
Thus if DELL's EPS growth rate drops to match that of CPQ then both should have the same P/E. Check it out!

and, I know the thread didn't agree with me..ggggg
I actually posted exactly what you said at the very beginning of this year and i put feb 98 as the target date for the correction.
the target date of course is just a guess since it was made 10 months ago.

The article on page 26 "the two amigos" states reasons for avoiding both Dell and Compaq similar to what I have been thinking for the last month or so , regards
