People thought AMAT was sh**ty at 25 (pre-split) ASND does seem to be releasing more news these days, even the arrogant can learn. Remember, NTT, Earthlink, WCOM, Kinko's, and Europe (hopefully).

Finder: I suppose when it comes to the bottom line, I can agree with you here. I believe much of the damage to the stock price results from poor management. Statements from the CEO to the effect that he simply doesn't care about what shareholders say, are very damaging. I already made it clear the the management that if the share price does not improve and if management does not offer clear guidance, I will liquidate my entire position in one shot. While a holding of under 50K shares is not large by any means, such a move could speak of the common tone among shareholders. I wouldn't be surprised if many shareholders just "gave up" on the company. It seems that Lucent is NOT a suitor for Ascend...the CEO made that clear yesterday. As for Ascend being weak because technology is weak today, I can't really buy that, since Ascend is weak even when the market is gangbusters. So...all my sentiment points to flat out selling the stock and leaving it for dead. However, the technicals ARE improving... ...and the recent downdraft of 7 points may prove to be a bumb in the road...
