The Focuses (Foci?) sold in the US are not produced in Germany. While there is a Focus sold in Europe, there are significant differences between those cars. Now, in 2010, there are plans to start a shift to a single design, but it will first be sold in the US and Canada.


I think he's talking about the Fiesta which is sold in the rest of the world and not the US. There was a big uproar last year questioning why F did not bring the Fiesta to the US. Apparently, Ford now will bring them to the US next year:
