Please start by explaining how a pharmaceutical company could spend more on R&D than their profits, as per your reference source. I have built my opinions on my experiences and reference material. I have 22 years of experience in the industry designing drugs (mostly working for a free market R&D shop that has not yet generated profits). Let's try to engage in an open minded discourse, towards the goal of achieving a consensus opinion.
