Swedes aren't Europeans! Go to France or Germany. According to Gallup, the US has one of the LOWEST rates of smokers per capita in the developed world! gallup.com "The regions with the highest median rates of smoking are the former Soviet countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) (29%), Central Europe (29%), and the European Union (28%). Although Gallup has not asked this question in many European countries, those countries that have been surveyed report data that are higher than is typical of many other regions around the world." So, to say that smoking in the US contributes to lower life expectancy here is just more uninformed asstalk. If anything, the opposite is true.
