GM is on its way to emerging from bankruptcy with the government selling off its portion. It might end up being a success story.

And if the government hadn't acted...

I have higher hopes for Ford. It doesn't seem like GM has fixed anything.

Any failing company can become a "success" story if it can rely on the government when times get tough. Remember what I said about rewarding mediocrity? I don't see you rushing to buy a GM car anytime soon.

(Though I did see a Chevy Camaro Transformers edition at Comicon a few weeks ago. Sweet. Almost made me a believer in Government Motors ... <G>)

Two words: Government Motors.

I think it does have a good chance to succeed. Its BOD is considerably more proactive than the old one.
