If Bush had asked people to inform on other citizens speech to the WH, there would h/b an uproar. Frankly, deservedly so. This is the kind of thing you have in Stalinist countries like Cuba, NK - citizens spying on one another, reporting people for things they say. Its how Solzhenitsyn got into the Gulag - he criticized Stalin in a letter and someone informed on him, just like Obama is asking people to do here now:

He fought in World War II, achieving the rank of captain of artillery; in 1945, however, he was arrested for writing a letter in which he criticized Joseph Stalin and spent eight years in prisons and labour camps, after which he spent three more years in enforced exile.

Thanks to our constitution, we can't be imprisoned for things like this .... yet ... but Democrats are building the internal intelligence and information reporting mechanism.
