Fair points. Sotomayor is qualified for appointment; however, qualifications and eligibility do not indicate her desirability as a Supreme Court Justice. She is, without any argument, a left skewed activist judge; therefore, as such, she will weaken the court and our nation at sidebar. I might argue noting how Bork -- possibly the finest judge ever nominated -- was trashed by democrat liberals. Judge Bork by the way, was staunchly opposed to activist judges who in essentially “write” legislation via biased opinion. Activism has no place in our legislative system – justice must be blind. And then there was Clarence Thomas who was trashed by that hypocritical and self-anointed, paragon of virtue, Ted Kennedy. So where was all that “elections having consequences” crap back then?
