"No, I didn't."

Yes, you did. It was in your list of factors as to WHY America's life expectancy was lower than Europe's.

Wiggle, wiggle, Squirm, squirm. Lie. Launch personal attack.

You argued that smoking HERE contributes to our lower life expectancy compared to European countries with universal health care. I just showed you that they smoke more THERE.

No, I didn't. I argued that you have to statistically remove smoking deaths from ALL countries being compared to make a reasonable comparison.

You would have to remove smoking as a cause of death from ALL of countries on the listing. And you would have to remove 100s or 1000s of other factors as well.

Which is the reason life expectancy isn't a meaningful measure of health care quality.

Why are you once again defending the indefensible? There has to be some significant reason why one of the most advanced countries in the world has a lifespan that ranks it 37th. We have to be doing something wrong, or the various countries are not comparing apples to apples. And I doubt very much it has to do with smoking.

More importantly, why is this not an issue for national discussion? Someone should be waiving a red flag on such an important topic......and yet, I hear nothing.
