Lou: Gut level, what effect (s), if any, will the Asia turmoil have on TRUV ? How about in general terms; is it really that big a deal ? It seemed like 'wall street' got rid of its fears last week and perhaps its back to 'normal'. Any thoughts ?

BTW, have you any thoughts regarding MACR (Macromedia) upcoming non-linear editing software ? Will TRUV boards 'see-it' just as Premiere and After Effects ?

Have you seen any significant increase in the numbers of people using non-linear editing at home ? I guess your Bravado board sales would be a good indicator. I ask because I'm not sure that the digital revolution is on the same growth track that say the internet is. I can't yet imagain mainstream america learning how to edit captured video. The software would have to be really simple. Having used Premiere, as you know, requires a degree of dedication that that most 9-5ers' just might not see as important. TRUV used to offer their own editing software (right ?) with your earlier non-linear cards; could that be a big market: Editing software as simple as say MCRE's Gooooooo ?

Thanks

Lou: Do you know anything about CUBE's single chip dual stream MPEG-2 chip (DVx) ? If they also come up with a single codec chip dual stream encode/decode MPEG-2 chip could that affect M-JPEG as well a DVCpro editing boards ? BTW, hows the TRUV native DVC board coming ? You noted the board in the Panasonic broadcast editing tower PC; is that just a M-JPEG board coupled to a DVC encoder ?
