Dollar Bill didn't get convicted for the $90K in the freezer. I guess the jury thought that since the Nigerian VP didn't get the moolah, there was no crime. He got nailed for a lot of other stuff, though, including the RICO charge. His brother, Mose, goes on trial tomorrow here in NO for some stupid stuff. His girlfriend, councilwoman Renee Gill Pratt, also stole from funds destined for the poor. Band Of Thieves, the whole lot of them. Shame, though, because Dollar Bill had a serious load of political talent. He grew up really poor in Mississippi, and I think he thought he had to make his, one way or the other. Dutch Morial gave Dollar Bill his nickname after watching him chase the buck, legally and otherwise, for a long time.
