8/14/09 update
It was one of those roller-coaster weeks, with the Bears winding up with a slight edge this time. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 26.34% CYTD, or Contest Year To Date, (vs. up 27.28% CYTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 10.34% CYTD (vs. up 10.99% CYTD a week ago), while the Contest median was up 23.24% CYTD (vs. up 25.22% CYTD a week ago).
Our leader, GENE's portfolio, had another terrific week and pulled further ahead of the pack. MIKE's portfolio held on to second place with RKRW's portfolio in show position.
The week's closing CYTD percentages are: GENE up an awesome 157.19%, MIKE up 112.18%, RKRW up 100.34%.
At Friday's close, 25 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 22 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
Have a wonderful weekend biotechies!
