Thanks for the info Glenn.

Hard to divorce my emotions from this one. Many of us who were on the early sites for Ancestry.Com and others have been the unpaid researchers.

We were working freely to bring together family information and networking. What I soon learned from that experience was that many wanted your information but were not willing to share their information.

So now it looks like the information we posted will be used by these sites for their well being----making $ off of what we authored.

I do have a a claim to authorship on the site I set up which declares the information may not be used without attribution to me, the author.

Sometimes, I return to the message boards and find little new; but find the early research significant on the sites.
