Elmat antibodies are proteins that are produced by B lymphocytes when activated en.wikipedia.org. It's true that when born you share what was in your mother's bloodstream, but these antibodies have a short lifetime. What counts is your B and T cell repertoires, and these are basically determined genetically then modified by exposure to pathogens. I am referring to the adaptive immune system.
