I toss a heaping spoon of ground Flax seed into all my soups, gravies, yogurt, mashed potatoes and pancakes. I look for an excuse to add it. I started out, years ago, grinding my own. It turned into too much of a mess and I gave up. Then I discovered my health food store sold it already ground in the refrigerated section. I buy the bag and keep it in my freezer section. It will go bad if you don't keep it like that. Cheap and good for you.
