>> Bolton waded in the issue by being critical of the administration for the Clinton trip...

Pat Buchannan and Monica Crowley both made very strong cases about WHY this action by the administration will have serious long-term consequences for the country on McLaughlin last night.

Bolton is absolutely correct that the consequences down the road could be substantial. Many people who favored getting those stupid women out of there also believe that it creates significant problems going forward that this incompetent administration simply isn't competent to deal with.

If we had competent leadership at this time (e.g., GWB) then the problems would not be such a threat. But with this incompetent, inexperienced idiot running the country, the result could be disastrous.

Al, > Bolton waded in the issue by being critical of the administration for the Clinton trip...

And Hillary answered with a laugh that would make the Wicked Witch jealous, followed by a rambling answer that does nothing to address the valid diplomatic concerns brought up by the trip.

Having said that, I'll also say that Bolton is being overly negative. Diplomacy is never an exact science. North Korea will always be the way they are (without "regime change" of course), so changing them can't be the priority. Obama did the right thing by focusing on the release of Laura and Euna, and he succeeded without giving up much.

See? That was easy ...
