Listen, in Germany they have now reduced the count of 'compulsary' health insurance companies to aro 200 or so.

'Compulsary' means, that anybody earning below approx. 48 kEuro/Year MUST participate and cannot opt for any other independent health insurance plans.

If, however, my man achieves to stay above that 48k€ level for a min of 3 consecutive years, now he has that choice of joining a private health insurance company or not.

Only for an interim period of 1-5 years. After that no more private plans.
