Why does anyone get cancer?

You can back track and, perhaps, find a cause.

Why did it continue after it started?

Dosage. For it to have a meaningful impact on Bob's cancer he would have had to elevate his dosage about tenfold.

That's right .. the Rasta guy wasn't consuming a therapeutic level.

In addition he may not have been eating the material. Smoking destroys much of the beneficial impact.

Strain. Each strain of marijuana has a unique cannabinoid profile. There are over 80 cannabinoids discovered so far. Only about five of them have has anything more than just a quick glance to determine properties. In addition when two or more of them are combined they produce a new set of effects on humans. Jamacian strains have high levels of THC and little of other cannabinoids.

I know you didn't expect an answer. You simply wanted to point out that someone that smoked pot got cancer.

Did you know that doctors get cancer also?
