The MSO says its Cox Digital TV package will be available to 175K+ area HH, and promises it'll offer 275K Orange County HH the digital offering by mid-'98. New programming includes Encore's 6 themed nets, Discovery's Science, Kids, Civilization and Travel & Living digital nets; 21 basic nets, including Independent Film, CNN/SI, BET on Jazz and Game Show Network; 40 ppv channels; Your Choice TV's time-shifted programming; and 40 digital audio channels.
