I use a service for car shopping called Car Bargains. Basically they send out something like 10 requests for quotes for new cars and then hound the dealers to get the quotes back. The service costs $200. Normally the service takes 4 or 5 days, right now they are up to 18 business days. They said they just have too many requests.

If anyone was wondering, 3 years ago I bought 2 Lexus LX470s for $1,000 under invoice each. This year I'm going to get a Lexus RX450 for my wife.

When we call the dealership directly there is a huge hassle that I'm trying to avoid and all I do is walk in with the paperwork, write a check, drive out in the new car.
