Lighting Up Lebanon from LindyBill on PFP

August 9, 2009: Israel does not know what to make of Hezbollah's recent media campaign, which had the terrorist group leadership bragging about how they had more weapons now (versus 2006), and more powerful ones at that. Hezbollah is believed to have hundreds of SA-18 portable surface-to-air missiles (similar to the U.S. Stinger), and some of not-so-portable, but self-propelled, SAM-8 anti-aircraft systems. Hezbollah also boasts of having many Iranian Feteh 110 rockets. These are 28 foot (8.9 meter) long, 3.5 ton guided (inertial, plus pattern recognition terminal homing) missiles, with a half ton warhead and a range of 200 kilometers.

Mr. Obama claimed---""Let me start by dispelling the outlandish rumors that reform will promote euthanasia, cut Medicaid, or bring about a government takeover of health care," Obama said. "That's simply not true."

My message to Mr. Obama:

"Dear Mr. Obama:

Your statement regarding the health and medical bill is rather simplistic. Of course ,this is a takeover of the health and medical system by the Federal Government under your Administration.

This is a level of intrusion into individual American's personal affairs that we have never had in this great nation.

Sarah Palin is correct to be concerned about the government's intrusion into every facet of our lives.

Where you have failed is in not taking the questions surrounding the medical insurance and system to the people.

The bottom line Mr. Obama is that we Americans don't want your mandating our personal lives------we are intelligent people with degrees from Universities throughout this great nation.

We have families that work for a living----families whose sons serve in the military to protect America and the world.
We deal with the health and medical issues regularly.

We and this nation do not need a beaureacratic system of medical care and insurance that ties the nation into knots.

I invite you to open your eyes and be a part of the real world beyond your ivory tower and the White House and Congress.

Let's return the Social Security to what it was intended for-----retirement benefits for those who contribute. Let's give the SS recipients back their money each month--------with that money they can choose a private insurer.

Just think of all of the $ saved if we eliminate the government Bureaucracy that has a vested interest in retaining the Medicare and Medicaid system and go for citizens having real choice via insurers.

The bottom line and the top line are that America does not need an expensive mandated Government system.

Sir, you are on the wrong track-----we don't want what you and your administration and Congress are proposing with the health and medical system.

I suggest you open your eyes and mind so that you might see and understand what we see and understand to be true."
