News: Bitech Petroleum Corp BPU Shares issued 43,802,327 Oct 30 close $3.95 Fri 31 Oct 97 News Release Mr James Clubb reports The company's president Russell Harvey, will reduce his involvement with Bitech effective November 1 1997. As of this date, Mr Harvey will cease to be president, CEO and a director. Mr Ray De Smedt, vice chairman and former CEO, will assume day-to-day responsibility for the company's operations as part of an executive comprising Mr De Smedt, the company's chairman and its Russian resident director until a replacement for Mr Harvey is found. Jay Scott has been promoted to vice-president of operations based in London reporting to Mr De Smedt.
