<<This was thick, soupy, wet fog.>>

Ever drive in a fog during an Illinois winter? I drove 60 miles in one and my truck looked like it grew an inch of white hair.

Beautiful video. Some fog lacing through those mountains would be incredible... but the fog you had sounds quite scary and not great for viewing the scene. Happy you made it safe and sound, and the sun came through for y'all.

I'm not far from being to ride (in a car) in to the Blue Ridge Mountains. That video spurs to consider it more.

Pretty slick.

I took a deposition a number of years ago of a young guy who was injured when he had to lay his bike down in a traffic accident situation.

He wasn't properly attired for riding a motorcycle.

I asked whether he was wearing any leathers. ['No.']

The best part of the testimony was his statement that he had never heard of wearing any leather clothing or article when riding a motorcycle.

It was one of those 'yeah, right' moments....lol.

A very many years ago, while still a teen, I rode on the back of a brand new BSA over the top of Berthoud Pass, just west of Denver. There is NO better way to enjoy the scenery than from a bike. Unfortunately, upon returning to Denver later in the day, we were totally run over by a young lady who made a left turn as she approached us in an intersection. Put both of us in the hospital, permanently crippling my friend and totaled the bike with less than 500 miles on it. I never rode again.

WOW! Beautiful and scary ride from the visitors chair...especially those places without guardrails... What a thrill it must be to ride there, but with no cars to deal with...! Thanks for sharing that!
