extreme positions prevail only when interested parties fail to participate. I regret the amount of effort it takes for interested parties to participate and the cost of that activity but the results are typically sensible middle ground.


You forget that the Obama / Pelosi Administration is collecting the identities of those who love freedom so they can intimidate them and target them for retribution. Participatory democracy will get progressively more difficult to sustain the longer the usurper is allowed to remain in office.

The fact remains that to the self proclaimed glitteratti views such as obesity is an epidemic threatening our healthcare system prevail. The same kind of decisions as other socialized medical systems will take over. People are routinely denied joint replacement in Britain if they are over weight. People with other lifestyle "problems" are denied care for similar reasons.

Expecting American bureaucrats to be less overbearing is unrealistic.
