Because of WWII, the word 'fascism' has an emotional connotation. Things done by the Nazis, like martial aggression and mistreatment of their populace, is confused with the socio-economic definition. Because the term has been misused for so long, to equate with Hitler and the Nazis, its actual meaning is lost to most people, hence true facists, like the Dems, call conservatives "facist." Just like the ACORN supporters are screaming about the protesters at town hall meetings as being "well-organized and funded from deep pockets." We are in a true Orwellian "double speak" society.
