Could someone that has an IBD subscription make a porfolio of stocks in that category? It would be interesting to see the respective performance of the two. I also think that the 99's are the ones that have run the greatest increase and will start to slow down. TIA

Eric

Maybe it was Oneil's book; now I'm confused!. What I do know is that I wish IBD made it easy to see which direction a stock is moving. Consider 2 stocks at 87 87, one that last quarter was 75 75 and another that was at 95 95. The former stock looks more interesting to me, but IBD doesn't give me a way to determine that (unless I look at accumulation rating, which MAY signal the direction, do you think?) In any case, what I find myself doing (when I have the time and money to purchase more, of which I now have neither) is saving back issues of IBD and manually checking the direction.

The RS99 Portfolio....

I'd like to just say that it's my understanding that we have
created this portfolio not as a portfolio to compete with say
the '56er POWs, but rather it's been created to research
one specific indicator.(ie, it's not recommended
to just pick stocks completely on one number!!!).
The point is to track the these 99ers -- maybe they will go down,
maybe they will go up. Either way, it's important information,
don't you think?

The key point here is research, in this case, researching the
RS99 rating. Yes, some 99ers have low EPS ratings, some have high
EPS ratings. But the key point is they ALL have an RS99 rating.

Hopefully, this type of research will make us all better
investors.

If you are looking for a portfolio to make you quick profits,
don't look here, because that's not the point-- If you want to
learn more about the RS rating system, welcome!
