Given the painful experience of NEC/PB deal and the current economic condition of Japan. Sony better think twice before making any move. (Mitsubitsu also lost an limb few years ago) Besides, I doubt Ted will sell GTW unless Sony offers $60/shr. However, he may spread the rumors and sell part of his shares when price shoot up high, then he annouced "GW2k is not forsale" and buy back the shares afterward <g>

I agree Sony GW2k deal makes sense. Sony manufactures lots of PC peripherals (monitor, diskette drive, CD-ROM, SRAM, speakers) and have good DVD resume, it will give GW2k lots of competitive advantages and as Steve said will also help GW2k in international sale. We may have a cow spot walkman :o)
