if this were 1932 wouldn't the secular progressives be the people that didn't want people to lose their life savings just because they had been dumb enough to put them in a bank?

if this were 1880 wouldn't the secular progressives be the people that didn't want to see farmers forced into bankruptcy because of an ENFORCED deflationary standard?

if this were 1945 wouldn't the secular progressives be the people that thought that if you're giving your life for your country you should be able to bunk with everybody else despite your race?

None of these examples bear any relationship to the situation at hand, which is government run healthcare. Typical bait and switch, fuzzy thinking, liberal debating style. Pick a similar type government run program, like SS, Medicare, VA hospitals, Cash for Clunkers, etc to compare.

if this were 1860 wouldn't the secular progressives be the people that didn't want to see humans bought and sold as slaves?
prolife, if this were 1904, wouldn't the secular progressives be the people that didn't want to see 8 year olds working 12 hour days six days a week?

Fuzzy thinking once again. None of those changes replaced something better with something worse.
