The difference between activity pre tort reform and post tort reform is the amount of lawsuit-triggered defensive medicine. Should be easy enough to measure after the fact.

It doesn't appear to have changed, but I don't think anyone here if Florida is measuring. Most who have an interest probably also benefit from high costs.

Of course true believers don't pay attention to demonstration projects, like Massachusetts universal coverage, for example, and continue to claim that costs will go down... <g>

Or demonstration projects like the European systems <gg>.

Here is a question: Do you think the private insurance companies have a vested interest in low or high health care costs?
