It's funny that when the Obamacare proponents started this whole effort, the bogeyman was health care costs and the needs of the uninsured. When that failed to garner continuing support, the new demon was the greedy insurance companies. Given the Rasmussen Reports poll, the one monstrous apparition that people would actually appreciate protection from -- but not useful to the Obamacrats -- is the federal government!

New Rasmussen Reports polling shows public support for the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats has fallen to a new low. Data released yesterday shows that 51% fear the federal government more than private insurance companies. Thirty-two percent (32%) favor a single-payer health care system for the U.S. while 57% are opposed.
