To: ayn rand who wrote (17210 ) 8/11/2009 10:53:44 PM From: GROUND ZERO™ 1 Recommendation Respond to of 103300 I agree... one's personal health care is exactly that, one's personal business and no one wants some Washington committee sitting in decision over whether or not you can have that surgery on your knee or hip... quadruple the length of the lines and waiting lists, reduce the amount and quality of care and pay more for it anyhow is completely asinine... Here's obamacare: When you need medical attention, instead of going to your private physician or ER (providing you have a real medical emergency), you first have to call an 800 number (which will always be busy) and speak with a health care operator who will snail mail you several dozen forms to fill out and have notarized... then you mail those forms to some place in St. Louis where they process your forms along with millions of others, give 6 to 8 weeks for processing... after about 3 months, you'll get a form letter which will either deny that you have sufficient illness to qualify for treatment, or that you have failed to complete Form 21A/34MED part III, and that you have to resubmit you paperwork all over again... If you finally receive authorization for treatment, you will then be placed onto a waiting list and wait your turn, this wait list represents another 8 to 12 months of waiting before your case comes up for review... After another 12 months of waiting, you can then call another 800 number (which is also always busy) to find out if your number is currently in the pool of patients on the active wait list... provided you're lucky enough to be on that current list, you can then make an appointment with the local government clinic in your city... you'll phone the clinic (their line will always be busy) and they will tell you when your appointment is scheduled, you can expect to have your appointment scheduled for 6 to 8 months from that point... When you finally get into that clinic, you will wait for another 5 hours in the waiting room until your number is called, then you will be seen by some medical assistant... you never really see any doctor because your ailment isn't serious enough... they'll give you some cough drops and send you home... you never had a cough, you had a pain in your leg, but that doesn't matter, they don't know how to treat leg pains... Get ready because it's coming... if you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it's free... GZ
