If I were to take a guess, the wingnuts have been using the Petermann Glacier as a counter-example to global warming. And that was based on either old information or a study that got it wrong. Given the landscape of the glacier, I am guessing the former. It very well could have been that 5 or 10 years ago, Petermann was not melting nearly as fast. But, it started calving big icebergs and that accelerated the ice flow. Its amazing the amount of effort they put into making wrong something like global warming. Is it possible that they are the descendants of what's left of some other homo offshoot......say like homo erectus or neanderthal, and not sapien? There has to be some logical explanation for this craziness.
