"There is little understanding of health care reform.....what it will mean for the country....its positives and negatives." It's very difficult to educate people when you have crazy, paranoid wingnuts with their own network (Fox), AM radio network (ClearChannel) and a network of dittoheads word-of-mouther's to spread ridiculous lies and distortions. And, as you said, Americans really aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. Obama is learning this now. Its really an eye opener. I don't know what to say other than their ignorance keeps holding us back.
